WORLD’S BIGGEST EASTER EGG HUNT GOES NATIONWIDE
Kids TV favourites and top artists join in The Lindt Big Egg Hunt in the run up to Easter 2013
More than 100 giant Easter eggs are being hidden in cities across the UK (Tuesday 12th February-Monday 1st April) as part of ‘The Lindt Big Egg Hunt’ – an incredible event challenging the public to take on the world’s biggest Easter egg hunt while raising vital funds for leading children’s charity, Action for Children.
The two and-a-half-foot high fibreglass eggs have been designed by leading artists and designers including Sam Taylor-Johnson (formerly Taylor-Wood), Alexis Harding, Billy Childish and Michael Petry – and feature some of the UK’s best-loved children’s characters including Peter Rabbit, Peppa Pig, Moshi Monsters, SpongeBob SquarePants, Thomas the Tank Engine and Ben 10.
This year, the eggs will tour the UK, from London to Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow and back to London in time for Easter. For even more magic and family fun, Lindt will be rewarding busy hunters by giving out thousands of Lindt Gold Bunnies and Lindor truffles – delicious reasons to join in the egg hunting fun.
The hunt captured the imagination of the country last year when it landed in London for six weeks – setting two Guinness World Records, raising over £1 million for charity and engaging more than one million people.
All money raised from the hunt will go directly to Action for Children, which runs over 600 services across the UK, supporting more than 250,000 children, young people, parents and carers each year.
